Design to finished part
From first idea to the part in your hand, in one workshop.
A toolmaker first.
I'm Gary, a time-served Rolls-Royce toolmaker. I was trained to make parts to tight tolerances, and that's what this workshop is for: turning, milling and drilling one-offs, repairs and small batches.
I'm also a CAD designer. My day job is 3D modelling and engineering drawings for premium automotive manufacturers, to production standard, and I hold patents on a product I designed and took through to manufacture.
So if your part needs drawing up first, I can do that too, and you're not passing a job between three different firms.
I set up this workshop in my garage in Northwich because there's a gap: plenty of people need a small job doing well, and most engineering firms simply can't make it worth their while. I can, and I enjoy it.

You do the design, I make it.
Send me your CAD and I'll machine or print prototypes and short runs. Where a different manufacturing approach would save cost or trouble, I'll suggest it before cutting metal.
Straightforward pricing
You always get a price before I start. No surprises.
Quick cuts and modifications: shortening a spindle, easing a part so it fits, a hole opened up.
Machining and making parts, plus CAD, drawings and reverse engineering. Materials at cost.
Send a photo and the size you need and I'll give you a fixed price first.
Four simple steps
I'm a one-man workshop, so jobs run by arrangement rather than walk-in.
Send a photo
WhatsApp me a photo of the part and tell me what you need, with sizes if you have them.
Get a fixed quote
I'll tell you if it's doable, how I'd do it, and exactly what it'll cost.
Drop it off
By arrangement at a time that suits us both. There's no walk-in shop.
Collect or post
I'll email you when it's ready. Collect it, or I can post it back to you.
For safety, I don't modify brake, steering, suspension or lifting parts.
